System Alert: Temporary Suspension of Saturday Services

Temporary Transportation for the Senior Nutrition Program

Starting Tuesday, June 16, 2020, Senior Nutrition Program transportation and delivery service will be available to all El Dorado Transit Dial-A-Ride customers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, El Dorado Transit will temporarily offer either transportation to and from the Senior Nutrition Program drive-up location (Dial-A-Ride fees will apply) or free food delivery. The drive-up locations include the Placerville Senior Center, the Cameron Park Community Center, and the Pollock Pines Community Center.

If delivery is requested, El Dorado Transit Dial-A-Ride drivers will deliver items to the customer’s front door. The customer must be at the drop off location to receive the items as the drivers will not leave items unattended.

Customers interested in using delivery service should note the following:

  • Customers must reserve their meal the day before their pick-up by calling the Senior Nutrition Program at (530) 621-6160.
  • Customers must call El Dorado Transit at (530) 642-3696 by 3:00 p.m. the day before the pick-up to reserve their delivery. The customer will be informed of the estimated delivery time during that call.
  • Reservations staff must have the location where the items need to be picked up, as well as the scheduled date and pickup time.
  • Drivers cannot step inside homes. If a front door is not visible from the curb, please provide a contact phone number so you can be notified when the driver has arrived.
